Andrew  Warhol

Andrew Warhola (his real name) was born in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania on August 6th, 1928.
His whole life is based on art and all its different expressions: painter, graphic artist, cartoonist, and even musician.
In fact, only few people know that Andy Warhol was one of the financiers of the Velvet Underground’s first record, the group led by Lou Reed, and he also designed the cover.
The King of Pop Art had a true rocker look and preferred dark colors, in contrast to his paintings; always wearing a black leather jacket, a studded jacket, a striped sailor shirt, a  dark and skin tight pair of jeans  and boots. And how can we forget his black acetate glasses!
Andy Warhol left us on February 22nd, 1987 in the operating room of the New York hospital.
Undoubtedly, a true icon of style.

Andrew  Warhola (questo il suo vero nome) nasce a Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania il 6 agosto 1928.
Tutta la sua vita si basa sull’arte e tutte le sue forme: pittore, grafico, fumettista e persino musicista;
Non tutti sanno infatti che Andy Warhol è stato uno dei finanziatori del primo disco dei Velvet Underground, il gruppo capitanato da Lou Reed, di cui disegnerà anche  la copertina.
Il re della Pop Art aveva un look da vero rocker e preferiva i colori scuri, al contrario dei suoi quadri; indossava sempre un giubbetto di pelle nero, un chiodo, una maglia a righe da marinaro, un jeans scuro molto attillato e degli scarponcini. E come dimenticare i
suoi occhiali neri in acetato.
Andy Warhol ci lascia il 22 Febbraio del 1987 nella sala operatoria dell’ospedale di New York.
Una vera Icona di Stile.
