Ayrton Senna Da Silva nasce in Brasile, nella parte nord di San Paolo.
La sua famiglia gode di uno stile di vita più adagiato rispetto a quello delle altre famiglie in Brasile e questa tranquillità economica e affettiva influirà molto sulla vita del pilota.
All’età di quattro anni il padre, proprietario di un’officina, gli regala un go-kart che inizia a guidare sin da subito: la conoscenza tecnica e la sua indiscussa bravura gli consentono di ottenere il primo titolo nazione a soli 17 anni.
Le esperienza successive Ayrton le fa in Formula Ford dove conquista 2 titoli mondiali e dà modo al pilota di entrare in Formula 3 a soli 23 anni, dove conquista il titolo mondiale nel 1983.
Nel 1984 è il quattordicesimo pilota brasiliano ad entrare in Formula 1.
Inizia la sua esperienza al volante della Toleman per passare l’anno successivo alla Lotus-Renault, con la quale arrivano le prime vittorie.
Il primo titolo arriva con la Mc Laren nel 1989, soddisfazione che avrà onore di ottenere altre due volte, nel 1990 e nel 1991.
Nel 1994 passa in Williams, anno nel quale si trova alle prese con un giovanissimo ma talentuoso Micheal Schumacher che proprio in quell’anno sarà campione.
La quarta gara di quella stagione si corre in Italia, ad Imola: l’ambiente è particolarmente scosso dalla morte durante le prove del giorno prima del pilota Roland Ratzenberger;
al settimo giro la macchina di Ayrton esce di pista a 300 chilometri orari.
Il pilota viene subito soccorso e trasportato in ospedale dove, nonostante gli sforzi dei dottori,
muore per delle complicazioni.
E’ il 1 Maggio del 1994 e il grande campione, ricordato sempre come un fenomeno, ci lascia all’età di 34 anni.
Una vera icona dello sport.

Ayrton Senna da Silva was born in Brazil, in the north area of Sao Paulo.
His family was more whealty than other typical Brazilian families: the  economic and emotional stability will affect very much the life of the pilot.
At the age of four, his father, owner of a mechanic’s workshop, gived him a go-kart that he immediately started riding: the technical knowledge and his
exceptional talent allowed him to get the nation’s first title at just 17 years old.
Ayrton’s next experience was in Formula Ford where he won two world titles, and this enabled him to pass into Formula 3 at the age of 23, where he won the
world title in 1983.
In 1984, he was the fourteenth Brazilian driver to get into Formula 1.
He began his experience at the wheel of Toleman to pass the following year at Lotus-Renault, with whom he started winning.
The first title comes with McLaren in 1989, a title that he will get two more times, in 1990 and 1991.
In 1994, he moved to Williams, that year he had to challenge a very young but already talented Micheal Schumacher, that will be champion.
The fourth race of the season was in Imola, Italy: everyone was particularly touched by the death during the rehearsal the day before of the driver Roland Ratzenberger; at the seventh lap Ayrton’s car left the track at 300 miles per hour.
The pilot was immediately rescued and transported to hospital where, despite the efforts of doctors, died because of complications.
It was May 1st 1994 and the great champion, remembered always as a phenomenon, left us at the age of 34 years old.
A true icon of the sport.
